Key Milestone For California Based Diagnostic Imaging Firm

Invenio Imaging Begins Enrolling Patients in Pivotal Study of AI-Based Image Analysis Module

Key Milestone for California-Based Diagnostic Imaging Firm

AI-Powered Technology Aims to Enhance Intraoperative Lung Cancer Detection

Invenio Imaging, a California-based leader in intraoperative fresh tissue imaging, has announced the enrollment of the first patient in its ON-SITE study. This pivotal study marks a significant milestone in the development of the company's first-of-its-kind artificial intelligence (AI)-based image analysis module designed to aid in the detection of lung cancer during surgery.

The ON-SITE study aims to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of Invenio's AI-powered technology in identifying cancerous tissue during surgery. The study will enroll approximately 400 patients at multiple medical centers across the United States. The results of the study will provide critical data to support the regulatory approval process for Invenio's AI-based image analysis module.

"Enrolling the first patient in the ON-SITE study is an important milestone for Invenio as we aim to develop the first AI-based image analysis module specifically designed for intraoperative lung cancer detection," said Dr. Richard G. Douglass, CEO and Chief Medical Officer of Invenio Imaging. "We are confident that our technology will provide surgeons with valuable real-time information during surgery, leading to improved patient outcomes and reduced healthcare costs."

Invenio Imaging's AI-based image analysis module leverages deep learning algorithms to analyze fresh tissue images captured during surgery. By identifying cancerous tissue with high accuracy, the module aims to assist surgeons in making informed decisions during complex procedures, such as lung-sparing surgery. This technology has the potential to revolutionize the intraoperative detection of lung cancer, leading to improved patient care and reduced healthcare costs.
