UK's Labour to Win Massive Election Majority, Exit Poll Shows
Keir Starmer on Course to Become Next Prime Minister
Conservative Party's Liz Truss Admits Defeat
LONDON, July 4 (Reuters) - Keir Starmer will become Britain's next prime minister, according to an exit poll that shows Labour winning a massive majority in the general election.
The poll, conducted by Ipsos MORI for broadcasters ITV and Sky News, predicts that Labour will win 433 seats in the House of Commons, while the Conservative Party will only win 190 seats.
If the exit poll is correct, it would represent a significant victory for Labour and would end the Conservative Party's 12-year grip on power.
Labour leader Keir Starmer said that he was "humbled and honored" by the exit poll results.
"We have a mountain to climb, but I am confident that we can build a better future for Britain," he said.
Conservative Party leader Liz Truss admitted defeat and said that she would step down as leader of the party.
"I want to congratulate Keir Starmer on his victory," she said.
"I will now work with him to ensure a smooth transition of power."
